Cambodia

Today I have been thinking how to continue with my time after I have been in Thailand. Recently a friend of mine made me aware of an opportunity to also go and visit a particular place near Kuala Lumpur. Although I'd love to add that option too to my travels I need to stay honest with myself and with what I am capable of.
Adding another destination would possibly add some stress to it as well, as I will need to fly even more and have less rest in between. So I decided to not go there, but instead to focus more on Cambodia.

On Monday November 21 I take the train at 5:55 AM from Hualamphong station (Bangkok's main station) to Aranyaprathet. In Aranyaprathet I grab a bus to the Cambodian border (about 15 km). To prevent hassles at the border I've already arranged my VISA to Cambodia. From Poi Pet I probably take a taxi to Siem Reap. I'll see what I do once I get there. There are a few options. Once in Siem Reap I first am going to eat an amazing Cambodian meal and then I am going to crash into a nice hut until the next morning :)

I will explore Siem Reap a bit; visiting villages, making new friends, learn more about their culture and way of living.

By boat I will go to Phnom Penh. It is at least a 5 hour trip, but it will be a once in a lifetime thing to do and what better way to get to see much of the beauty of a nation by traveling in various styles?! Train, bus, taxi and boat ;)

Once in Phnom Penh I will visit various ministries, pray for people, this nation, and I hope to be able to love deeper once I have been there. The history of this nation is one not to be repeated.
